our products

Our charcoal is made from encroacher bush hardwood species such as Acacia family species. Wood is harvested and carbonised in circular steel kilns to produce high quality, long burning charcoal. We are flexible in delivering charcoal in bulk. We also produce house brand retail ready charcoal packaged to a client’s specifications as follows.

BBQ charcoal (lump wood)
This is the more typical type of charcoal that we typically use for grilling daily. Much of our neighbourhood grocery stores, and gas stations carry it. Lump wood, often known as barbecue charcoal, comes in sizes ranging from 20 - 40 mm. This product comes in smaller bags weighing between 3 and 5 kilograms.

Briquettes
At Agrischoenau Trading CC, a fully automated briquette facility produces briquettes. To manufacture briquettes, charcoal is crushed into a fine powder. Water and starch are then added as a binding component after which it is pressed into briquettes and dried naturally. The final product is packed into 2.5 kg to 5 kg bags.

Restaurant Charcoal
This is a premium product that has charcoal pieces with a minimum diameter of 40 mm. This product is frequently used in eateries like steakhouses and pizzerias and comes packaged in 10 kg–15 kg bags.

Environmental Sustainability

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is an international organization that aims to protect forests and the people who depend on them. To guarantee the greatest environmental and social standards, FSC® certifies their forests.

Bush thickening and its detrimental effects on farmland production in Namibia have been well-documented and are acknowledged as a major issue in the agricultural sector.

Indicative of the natural ecology, excessively dense bushveld growth can be produced by severe drought, overgrazing, and fires. This dense bushveld can be thinned out to improve rangeland and bring the ecology back to a greater diversity state. To ensure that the procedure is environmentally sustainable, farmers only harvest invasive species in line with a management plan that has been approved by the Ministry of the Environment and the FSC. It is generally acknowledged that using problematic species to produce charcoal and other carbon-based products is an environmentally friendly method.
